Employment Protection Insurance Scheme

I'm interested in your insurance. How does it work?
Samuel Phillips offers an Employment Protection Scheme against tribunal awards and legal fees which is backed by insurance and as part of which clients receive a monthly newsletter.

Audit
The process begins with a full audit of your current procedures and policies and recommended solutions where we feel improvements can be made.

Helpline
Your local firm will provide a nominated expert who you can call during normal office hours on any employment law matter for the entire year.

Insurance
If the business meets the key criteria of our underwriting team we will arrange cover for your business to ensure that you will not be liable for the costs of litigation brought about by an employee of your company.

What does it cost?
Not as much as you may fear. The premium, audit and helpline are all wrapped together in one annual retainer fee which you will be able to pay to the law firm on a monthly basis.

The costs are based upon your annual wage roll and number of employees.

Benefits
In today's world of instant communication, customer demands, staff expectation, increased competitor activity and ever changing legislation it would be nice to have an oasis of calm and surety for your business.

Samuel Phillips provides essential peace of mind for businesses by helping to manage the risk of employee litigation.

The audit will identify any areas of exposure you may currently be carrying and provide solutions to ensure compliance with best practice in HR procedures.

We work with local law firms rather than national operators ensuring swift and personable communication from the helpline service.

The cover extends to awards and legal expenses concerning Employment Tribunal cases of up to £100,000 per claim.

You will receive one of the UK's leading employment law newsletters each month to keep you up to date with legislative developments.

A monthly fee provides regular budgetary control, safe in the knowledge that you have that risk in your business covered. It's also good news for your cashflow.

Proactive management of your employment disputes and confidence in your legal position reduces the number of issues and time taken to manage them.
